- ¼ cup water
- 1 cup cranberries, fresh or frozen
- ¼ cup granulated sugar, for rolling
In a medium saucepan, over medium low heat, combine the sugar and ¼ cup of water.

Cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved. Do not boil. Let the syrup cool to room temperature.
Stir in the cranberries, coating them in the sugar syrup.

Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cranberries to a wire rack to dry for 45 minutes.
Roll the cranberries in the remaining ¼ cup of sugar to coat completely.
